About the Cholera Vaccine

Cholera is a bacterial infection that is usually spread through contaminated food and water. It can cause severe diarrhoea, dehydration, and serious illness, particularly in areas with poor sanitation or limited access to clean drinking water.

While the risk for most travellers is low, vaccination may be recommended for those visiting regions where cholera is present, especially aid workers, long-term travellers, backpackers, and people travelling to remote areas with limited medical facilities.

At Earls Barton Pharmacy, we provide professional Cholera vaccination services alongside personalised travel health advice. Our pharmacists will assess your destination, travel plans, and medical history to determine whether the vaccine is appropriate for you and help you prepare for safe and healthy travel.

Vaccination, together with good food and water hygiene, can help reduce your risk of infection and provide added peace of mind while travelling abroad.

The pharmacist was extremely helpful so far as advice regarding what vaccinations would be necessary or advisable for my forthcoming trip to South East Asia. He administered the vaccinations painlessly and without any problems. I'd definitely recommend.
